Please provide your best-consolidated offer for Transport, clearance and any other charges for the destinations listed above.

The offered rates should include a maximum of two or three days of standby at loading and three working days at off-loading points at no extra demurrage/retention charge to the ICRC.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TENDER & GENERAL INFORMATION.

  1. The transport company fully responsible to return all ICRC flags and emblems right after the distribution and strictly prohibited to use for other purposes or give it to the third party, while in case of loss or miss, ICRC has full right to take the case to court and payment will not be affected unless this issue resolved. 
  2. The Transport Company shall not be allowed to transfer, assign, pledge or sub-contract its responsibilities, rights, and liabilities under this contract to any other agency.
  3. The transport company shall abide by the rules and regulations of Ethiopia Govt. particularly applicable to the transport business.
  4. The transport company shall also abide by the relevant Rules and Regulations to engage drivers on the trucks provided on-site and will obtain requisite licenses, sanctions & permits which should valid during the tenure of the contract.
  5. The trucks to be deployed should be in excellent condition mechanically as well as getup wise i.e. outer look/upholstery etc. should be decent looking and are well maintained during the contract period. The trucks used on the distribution site should not be older than 10 years at any point of contract.
  6. The transport company shall provide an immediate replacement for the breakdown trucks with the same level of the truck at the time of the request or can arrange their own convoy truck in case of a visible breakdown of the loaded truck.
  7. The drivers of the trucks deployed on the distribution site should be fully conversant with the routes of destination and must have a valid driving license.
  8. In case, the drivers employed by the transport company commits any act of omission/commission that amounts to misconduct/indiscipline/incompetence, the transport company shall be liable to take appropriate disciplinary action against such drivers.
  9. The transport company shall assign a supervisor who shall be responsible for immediate interaction with ICRC representative at a distribution site, 
  10. All the charges towards repair/servicing, working advance of the driver, petrol (fuel) expenses, any other incidental expenses on operations & maintenance of the trucks deployed on distribution site shall be cover by the successful transport company.
  11. The trucks deployed on the distribution site should be insured in all respects by the successful transport company
  12. ICRC will not be responsible for any kind of violation of traffic rules, damage or accident to the trucks or to any other truck or injury/loss to any driver and contracting agency will settle such issues on their own at their own cost. 
  13. The transport company shall submit the bills as per the agreed rates immediately after completion of the calendar month to the ICRC logistic section along with a duly signed waybill and packing list.
  14. Payment against invoice shall be made only after satisfactory services to be certified by the user department. No advance payment will be made. The payment will be made by local currency ETB by cheque or bank transfer.
  15. The transport company was fully responsible to return all ICRC flags and emblems right after the distribution and strictly prohibited to use for other purposes or give it to the third party, while in case of loss or miss, ICRC has full right to take the case to court and payment will not be affected unless this issue resolved. 
  16. ICRC reserves the right to cancel the tender at any time without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
