A RESULT BASED FINANCING (RBF) MEASURE in ETHIOPIA
“Dissemination of Cooking Stoves through RBF approach in SNNPR”
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), has been piloting a results-based financing approach in Ethiopia, implemented by Energising Development (EnDev Ethiopia), for scaling-up the commercialization of improved cookstoves under the fund granted by the Department for International Development (DFID) the UK. The pilot project has been running in EnDev Oromia and Tigray from 2013 but has been effective from February 2017 to June 2018 (After the second call for proposal where major strategic quantum leap has been recorded in shifting from Agricultural cooperative to SME and energy companies) in 14 Woredas in Oromia and 8 Woredas in Tigray. Accordingly, about 70,000 people have gained access to improved energy technologies and services and about 28,000 MIRT stoves have been deployed.
GIZ-EnDev is looking for potential Service Providers for the project to disseminate Improved Cooking Stove through RBF approach in SNNPR. Therefore, GIZ-EnDev Ethiopia is requesting proposals from interested Service Providers to perform the tasks as per the Terms of Reference. The objective of this Request for Proposal is to identify and contract with the most suitable Service Providers.
Prospective SPs can obtain the Terms of Reference and relevant bid documents from the office specified below starting from Monday, 10th of June 2019, 8:30 am on working hours or can request the document via an email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Prospective bidders should submit Technical and Financial proposals physically to the address below at or before Monday, 24th of June 2019, 5:00 pm.
