REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS
UNECA seeks to procure service of a contractor that provide Conference Support Services during conferences, meetings, and exhibitions at its United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa (UNCC-AA).
The contractor executes Conference to support and related services with due care and diligence by providing needed qualified and skilled labor whenever requested by UNECA/ Publications and Conference Management Section (PCMS). The service includes the provision of Ushers/ hostesses, Staff assistants, Conference room attendants, Clerks, porters, including exhibition builders, etc. These services will be required at different times of event organization from pre-session to in-sessions and/or post-session. A vendor should be able to provide requested skilled manpower under short notice, in some cases, in less than 12 hours.
The number of such staff, the specific duties, and services required from themes as well as the period of employment would depend on the requirements of a given event. The Conference Centre hosts an average of 50 events in a month with an average of 80 to 100 participants per event.
All tasks and obligations provided in the Contract for the provision of conference support services to ECA/ UNCC-AA should be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions specified as follows, including inter-alia the specifications contained in and any modifications thereof agreed by mutual consent or by variation orders issued by UNECA.
UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a vendor that is not fully registered with United Nations Global Market lace (UNGM) and did not obtain UN Global Market Place (UNGM) Vendor ID Number. Thus, only those vendors who are registered or provisionally registered or have started their registration process in UNGM will be eligible to receive the solicitation document-RFP. Interested vendors who fulfill the above requirements are required to submit the completed Vendor Response Form plus all required supplemental documentation through the above-mentioned e-mail addresses on or before 15 May 2019.
