The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Ethiopia is selling used vehicles and generators through a sealed bid auction.

ATTENTION!!! ALL ASSETS ANNOUNCED FOR SALE ARE TAX & DUTY UNPAID  

Conditions and Procedures:  

• All vehicles are sold in their present condition (“as is & where is”) on the basis of no guarantee or warranty given in condition of usability. 
• Lots cannot be divided or combined, and price should be submitted for each lot separately.  
• The auction winner or buyer will be responsible to pay taxes, customs duties and other charges of public nature levied by the government and must be paid to the government when assessed (except for Organizations or Companies with duty-free privileges, which must obtain the required duty-free customs clearance for the purchased items and submit the relevant documentation prior to collection).  ICRC bears no responsibility for these charges in any manner. 
• All Lots can be viewed during working hours from Monday 23rd of March to Monday 30th of March 2026, 12:00 PM at ICRC Logistic Compound Unit located along Egziabher Ab to Meta Road around KAKI Trading next to UNICEF Warehouse. 
• Everybody interested in bidding for the vehicles and generators, shall submit his/her offer in a sealed Envelope marked "Confidential & Lot N°xx" before Tuesday 31st of March 2026 12:00 PM at ICRC logistic Unit (see on the top). 
• The opening of the bids is not public, it will take place at the ICRC Logistics office within ten working days after the auction closing date. 
• ICRC Delegation in Ethiopia has the right to reject any or all bids without explaining the reason. 
• Each bidder must deposit 10% of his/her offer amount, by the name of International Committee of The Red Cross as a bid bond by CPO cheque (Only CPOs issued by Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) is accepted), which will be deducted from the sales price if the bidder becomes successful. 
• Within 15 days of auction result announcement, the winner should process the final payment & sign a sales agreement. 
• Tax and duties must be processed within 15 days after name transfer permit letter is issued to Customs Office by Ministry of Foreign Affair MoFA. 
• Asset handing over will be done only upon submission of custom declaration document. 
• The bid bond will not be refunded if the auction winner doesn't fulfill all the mentioned conditions or refuses to make the final payment (it will result in forfeiture of the bid bond deposit). 
• The bid bond CPO of the non-winners will be refunded within five days after the announcement of the auction result. 
• Anybody who does not agree with the above-mentioned conditions and procedures shall not bid.
