The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH would like to sale one used duty-free Vehicle. Detailed Information about the vehicles is provided in the table below.

Instructions to Bidders:

Potential bidders can obtain the bid documents through the 2merkato site.

• Vehicle Inspection: Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles from Monday to Friday between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM at the GIZ Office in Addis Ababa, located next to ECA compound, Kazanchis. For further inquiries, please contact us via ET_Goods_Quotation@giz.de  or Tel +251 11 518 0200/01/02.
• Bid Submission Deadline: Bids must be submitted latest by March 16,2026 at 2:00 PM.
• Bid Bond Requirement: All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the offered value, endorsed by a certified cheque (CPO) or a bank guarantee, and submitted to the GIZ Office in Addis Ababa.

Terms and Conditions:

• Sale Condition: The vehicles are sold on an "as it is, where it is" basis, without any warranties or recourse.
• Award of Bids: The vehicles will be awarded to the highest bidder. In the event of identical bids, priority is given to the bidder with the earliest submitted bid for this public notice. Bidders are allowed submit only one bid: multiple submission from some bidder will result in disqualification.
• Notification and Payment: The successful bidder will be notified through a letter of award and must complete the payment within 5 working days. Transfer process will be initiated once it is confirmed that the amount is deposited to GIZ account. And upon finalizing of declaration transfer, vehicle can be removed by the successful bidder. GIZ will not provide any assistance for the removal of the vehicles.
• Return of Bid bond: The bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders.

Bid Submission Details:

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly labelled with the REF No: GIZ-001/2026, along with the bidder’s full name, cell phone number and email address. As per the following instructions.

Important Note.

• Bids received after the closing time (16.03.2026 at 2:00 pm) will be automatically rejected.
• Bids shall be opened in front of bidders on 17.03.2026 at 10:00 am in the morning at the conference room of GIZ Office, Addis Ababa.
• The offer should be submitted in the language of the tender documents.
• For financial offers, use the price sheet form provided.

The GIZ office has the right to cancel the tender fully or partially.
