FOR DIFFERENT WATER PURIFICATION CHEMICALS IN ADDIS ABABA TO REGISTER FOR REVIEW AND PRE-QUALIFICATION AS POTENTIAL WATER

PURIFICATION CHEMICALS SUPPLIERS
TO UNICEF IN ETHIOPIA

Date of Request for Expression of Interest (REoI): 14th September 2023.
Closing date for receipt of Expression of Interest (EoI): 21st September 2023.

Description of requirements:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) seeks potential suppliers who can provide different water purification chemicals i.e.

1. Water purification (NaDCC) 167mg tabs/BOX-14000
2. Water floc. & Disinfectant, pdr/BOX-240
3. Household Water treatment chemical /Bottle

To evaluate and update their internal database and registration systems with selected 'pre-qualified' suppliers who will be invited to submit Offers for contracts or will be eligible to participate in Long Term Arrangements (LTAs) and official tenders.

To respond to this EOI:

All interested vendors are invited to submit Letters in English expressing interest for registration and evaluation. Interested suppliers will be required to submit a detailed Questionnaire form for pre-qualification review. All requests for questionnaires must be submitted with full details and contact numbers and addresses. Questionnaires must be completed and submitted in both hard copy and soft copy or by e-mail copy as MS Word and PDF files, no later than 21st September 2023 at 5.00 p.m. through ETH-Addis Ababa Supply <supplyaddisababa@unicef.org>. All relevant supporting documentation must be attached to the hard copy of the questionnaire.

Please also provide selected samples of different water purification chemicals listed above.

It is recommended that submit the Questionnaire response format electronically via email or in a flash disk so that they will be eligible for further evaluation.

Well-established companies with excellent supplying history of 5-year experience with reputable clients are encouraged to register as potential suppliers of water purification chemicals Suppliers will be qualified for registration on the following criteria.

• Completeness of valid documents submitted as required in the Questionnaire.
• Assessment of supplier (Including Financial Status/review)
• Recent 2 years 'financial statement
• Register in UNGM at Basic and Level 1 levels of registration
• Adequate packing, storage, and warehouse facilities.
• Proven ability to handle both small and large orders.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality supplies; and work effectively under pressure,
• Capabilities to communicate fluently both in written and verbal English,
• Established quality control mechanisms

A limited number of supplies will be short-listed for physical inspection and evaluation. Vendors with positive evaluations will be invited to participate in the bidding process of the Long-Term Arrangement (LTA). Other vendors, depending upon the desk assessment, will also be retained for inclusion in appropriate and relative tenders.

UNICEF fully reserves the right to accept or reject registration.

UNECA Compound, Zambezi Building, UNICEF Ethiopia, Supply Section, 2nd floor, East Wing.
The UNECA security rules require 36 hours ‘advance notice to be given by visitors, therefore please notify the Supply Section by email: at supplyaddisababa@unicef.org. Provide the full name of the person who will be submitting the EOI and the proposed date of arrival.
