GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) is looking for AN INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT to Prepare and Conduct a ToT Training on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Violence in Kombolcha Industrial Park.

Under a co-financing agreement between the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Sustainable Industrial Clusters project (S.I.C.) of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) fosters job-effective growth while improving social and environmental sustainability in Ethiopia’s manufacturing sector.

The S.I.C. project is seeking an experienced consultant to prepare and conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) training on the prevention of sexual harassment and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), particularly in the work context, in Kombolcha Industrial Park. The consultant needs to develop training materials and implement the ToT over four days for about 26 representatives from Industrial Park Development Corporation (IPDC), Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), companies in the park, etc.

The consultant is expected to have experts in the following:

Education/training:  University qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in gender studies, sociology, social work, public health, reproductive health, midwifery, nursing, health education & promotion, global health and other related subjects. 

Professional experience: 7 years of experience in gender, health care, psychosocial support, human rights, facilitating and leading trainings, development of training material & user manuals, etc.

Experience in the region/knowledge of the country: Experience in working in Ethiopia, specifically in Kombolcha area

 Language: business fluency in English and Amharic
